Installer applies online for
interconnection with the electric grid, CenterPoint Energy reviews the application and design plans
Interconnection Agreement between CenterPoint Energy (Utility) and Customer is generated and signed
CenterPoint Energy issues Permission to Operate (PTO) to Customer and reprograms the meter to capture excess unused generation back-flow (typically reprogrammed remotely, automatically)
Customer contacts Installer for ALL matters related to operating & equipment, Customer contacts Retail Electric Provider (REP) for ALL matters related to billing
Once the Interconnection Application is received, CenterPoint Energy will screen it for acceptance or notify of objections,
perform system impact review, followed by preparation and approval of the Interconnection Agreement.
